Jinan Younis

Jinan is an award-winning Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Culture specialist supporting companies to build resilient and inclusive cultures for the modern era. Jinan’s clients have ranged from global foundations to NGOs to multinational corporations to frontline organisations addressing topics such as allyship and championship, building inclusive cultures, and barriers to employment and progression. She has supported the roll out of DEI initiatives across global markets and engaged with senior leaders, communications teams and internal and external stakeholders to secure buy-in for large-scale inclusion initiatives. Her previous clients include Sanofi, Wellcome Trust, Sky, Rosewood Hotel, NatWest amongst many more.
Jinan regularly appears on panel events discussing equity in the workplace, and her written work covers race, feminism and intersectionality. She has written for publications such as The Guardian, New Statesman, and gal-dem. She has contributed chapters to two books, “I Call Myself a Feminist” and “I Will Not Be Erased”. Her public appearances include panel events at Somerset House, radio discussions with BBC Radio 4 and BBC Radio 2, and an online documentary entitled Why Talk Feminism. Her work led to her being awarded the Christine Jackson Young Person Award at the Liberty Human Rights awards.
Jinan’s background is in corporate communications, journalism and campaigning. Prior to setting up WeCalibrate, she built the thriving DE&I Practice at Purpose Union and led the marketing for WPP’s Government and Public Sector Practice.
Jinan was educated at Jesus College, Cambridge University, with a degree in Theology.
